So how can these brands utilize Snapchat in order to gain social media presence? Below are ways that Mashable recommends for best brand communication. Not many brands are active on Snapchat so now is a good time to get ahead of everyone else and establish a following.
1. Promote your Snapchat account via other social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
2. Reward your followers (contests, product sneak peak, coupon codes)
3. Distribute meaningful content
4. Use the "My Story" function in order to reach all of your followers

This is interesting. Though I don't have Snapchat I imagine users would take advantage of getting closer to brands they're interested through Snapchat. Whether it's sneak previews or quick videos of what's going on with the brand now, I think users would feel closer to the brand through Snapchat. What brands are utilizing Snapchat as of now? If so, how are they doing so? And has it been successful?
ReplyDeleteI agree with this. Snapchat is getting more and more popular (specially with iPhone users) this year. With its new updates which allows users to post a "story," the ratings have been higher than ever. I think it would be a great way for brands to advertise a short clip or a picture on those stories. Social media is definitely the best way to promote because many users of snapchats are active on twitter, facebook, instagram, etc.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, the "my story" feature is a great way for brands to reach out to customers. It allows the to see exactly what is happening for them at the moment and is extremely interactive. This leads to more talk about the brand over even more types of social media. I think a lot of services are being shown in Snapchat rather than products at the moment but I think that will change in time.
